Artaka L. Ross, Associate Attorney
Artaka L. Ross, Jr., Associate Attorney, is a zealous advocate for elders and those with disabilities. At DDV, Mr. Ross concentrates his practice on Elder Law, including administration of estates and trusts, special needs planning, and estate planning and guardianship.
Mr. Ross graduated from the University of DePaul College of Law where he founded the First Generation Law Student Organization. This organization served to ease the transition for over 60 students who were first generation college attendees. While a student, Mr. Ross served as a volunteer at the DePaul Criminal Appeals Clinic and was the research assistant to the Dean of the College of Law, Jennifer Rosato-Perra.
Artaka is devoted to his community. He has served on the Executive Board of the Black Law Students Association, he is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, the Cook County Bar Association, and the Black Men Lawyer’s Association. He is also an active member of the NAEPC (National Association of Estate Planners Council) where he will be attending the national conference in Anaheim, California.
Mr. Ross is admitted to practice law in Illinois and Indiana and is awaiting admission to the Supreme Court of Michigan.
Artaka is passionate about helping clients and aiding in their long-term future with Medicaid, estate and disability planning.
Artaka hails from Detroit, Michigan, where he graduated High School from Edwin Denby High School. He is a huge fan of the Detroit Lions and grit!
