1Peter J. Shayman is an Associate Attorney with DDV Law, Ltd. who has practice law for nearly a decade.  Peter is passionate about helping clients create estate plans and prepare for their long-term care future. Peter is an excellent advocate who has handled over a dozen bench trials and many cases in court that settled or reached resolution without trial. 

In his nearly ten years of work as an attorney, he has practiced in both Illinois and Iowa.  He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the Iowa State Bar Association and remains licensed to practice in both states. He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association Trusts and Estates Section. 

Peter is also an excellent writer with a keen attention to detail.  He is a thoughtful attorney and excellent litigator. 

Peter earned his law degree from DePaul University College of Law in 2015.  He earned his bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from Indiana University.  Peter was born and raised in Chicagoland and enjoys spending time with his dogs, paying and watching sports, and spending time with his friends and family.
