Michael Delaney is a senior partner at DDV Law, Ltd. and a Certified Elder Law Attorney specializing in guardianship and probate litigation. Courts often appoint him Guardian ad Litem (GAL) to advocate for the best interests of elderly citizens during guardianship proceedings. He strives to protect seniors and their families during emotional life situations and helps them recover funds if they become victims of financial fraud and abuse. Michael shares his valuable experience with others and frequently lectures as a faculty member of the Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education.

Given Michael’s passion for advocating for the rights of elders and educating other attorneys in aspects of elder law, it is no surprise he was recently named president of the National Elder Law Foundation(NELF). NELF works to educate and certify attorneys who specialize in elder law and special needs. Certified elder law attorneys (CELA) must pass a NELF exam and participate in continuing education. As president of NELF, Michael will continue to grow the awareness and importance of elder law services and support attorneys who advocate for the rights of seniors and individuals with special needs.
