Michael Wurster
Michael Wurster is an associate attorney with DDV Law, Ltd. Before joining DDV Law, he worked at a prestigious Chicago law firm focusing on guardianship and decedent’s estates. Mike continues to concentrate on contested and uncontested estates, trust administration, estate planning, Medicaid planning, and complex litigation issues, guiding clients through emotionally charged life changes.
What Mike likes best about working at DDV are the friendly culture and team-focused approach. He can ask colleagues questions without judgment because they enjoy mentoring and sharing. It allows him to find the best solutions for families facing concerns about aging and disability, avoiding conflicts and problems that may arise.
Accomplishments beyond Mike’s role at DDV Law include:
- Served in leadership roles for Young Professional organizations, bar associations, and the chamber of commerce
- Was a Big Brother in the Big Brothers-Big Sisters program
- Was a member of the Mock Trial team and Moot Court Board, and participated in the Vanderbilt First Amendment Moot Court Competition at the University of Wisconsin
- Served as an integral contributor to the Criminal Appeals Project Clinic
- Handles trust and estate appellate litigation.
Mike lives with his wife, Kashne, and son, Tarron, in the Chicago suburbs. When he’s not working, he hangs with the family on movie nights, cooks, watches Big Ten football (Michigan and Penn State) and the Packers, does a little boxing and weightlifting, and goes on walks with his wife and son.
Michael earned his law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 2014 and graduated from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, where he earned a dual major in Political Science and Philosophy with a minor in Community Action and Social Change. He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, its Trusts and Estates Section, and licensed to practice law in Illinois.
